IconBuffet have released two more icon sets in their Free Delivery service.
I received the 'Farewell Snow' set and I am now in search of the 'Taipei Monkey' set.
If you have the monkey set I can trade you any of the other ones for it, send an email to rowans -at- gmail dot com.
In Monkey News Ricky Gervais meets Larry David tonight!!! It's a shame (or is it?) that I don't live in the UK because it's only on Channel 4. Maybe C4 in New Zealand will repeat it sometime soon!

The next release of Simple Review should be out mid January.
As well as a few bug fixes there are at least two new features:
User submitted reviews
Award system e.g. can assign reviews an editors choice award.
If you have an features you would like added you can post them on the Feature Requests page. |

 Thank goodness Christmas is finally over. Even though you get some totally wicked awesome cool stuff you sometimes tend to forget about your favourite Jewish rappers who traditionally don't celebrate Xmas. I'm talking about artists such as Princess Superstar, The Beasties Boys and MC Paul Barman. But then again they have holidays such as Chanukah where there is eight days of celebrations and gifts. So yeah ... point established.
Back to Xmas for a second, perhaps the most interesting thing I got was some Sea Monkeys. Not only do these Monkeys live for two years but they change colour (white, yellow, orange and red). Conveniently the pack includes a key ring aquarium so I can take them on walks and to work etc.
Long live these freaks of nature.

 Kool Keith Aliens
Insomniac has this to say:
"The quality control department at Insomniac have a few surprises for the Kool Keith fans, which pushed the release date to the first quarter of 2006."
So perhaps the surprise it that it is going to be released?

Speaking of audio text the other week I listened to Bruce Campbell's audio book Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way. It's quite an intersting listen, Bruce is known for being a great voice actor so there is never a dull moment. Worth a listen if you can track it down in audio or text form.
Speaking of Bruce Campbell, last month I finished reading his first book 'If Chins Could Kill -
Confessions of a "B" Movie Actor'. It's a great book to read before bed, jokes, trivia, plenty of pictures and nice short chapters :D , it is definitely not undelicious.
Over the last month I've got heaps of new CD's which I'm looking forward to reviewing using Simple Review, some of the new CD's:

Update:The module wasn't linking to reviews, this will be fixed very shortly
There is a patch for Simple Review out. It fixes the problem that the average users submitted scores wasn't being calculated. Get it here and read about it here.

Simple Review 1.0 Released Candidate 1 is out now.
It's a day late (actually It was finished two days ago but didn't have time to write about it).
Many many new features including:
- Templating System
- Review scores are now ints and not varchars
- User comments and ratings
- Joomla! Support
- Top N Reviews
You can download it from http://mamboforge.net/projects/simplereview.
I think RC 1 will be the relased product as I don't have any time to do much more until the New Year :P
Be sute to read the Release Notes and the online help.
