The most painful thing for me in FireFox is that pressing the back button causes the browser to go back to the previous page. Many times I have found myself writing out a long email or post and then somehow loosing focus on the text box and pressing the backspace key to delete a character, but instead the browser goes back a page resulting in my email being lost. Usually you can recover by pressing the forward button since FireFox will try to repopulate all of the form, but some pages override this behaviour and reset the form.
If your keen you can get around it by following these steps:
  1. type about:config into the address bar and press enter, you will be prompted with a warning, press the button to continue.
  2. Enter browser.backspace_action into the filter text box.
  3. Double click on the displayed row and change it from 0 to 2 and press ok.
  4. Problem solved.
