Michael Weersing
Weersing, hes pretty good.
Hi, I've been getting a lot of traffic regarding Kubuntu/Ubuntu freezing during 'Starting Hotplug System' on a Shuttle ST20G and just realised that I didn't post a solution. Well I probably didn't post anymore about it because I didn't find a complete solution. I originally got past it by disabling 'High Definition Audio'. in the BIOS, but still there was the checking battery state problem. Septor told me that if you overwrite with a Gentoo Kernel everything should work fine. This worked except that I've got no GUI, X complains that no screens found so I only have a terminal, Septor tells me that I might need to recompile the Kernel with the latest ATI drivers. I don't have time for this now but will try it some other time...

Once the next version of Simple Review is released (not too far away) it will be located at http://mamboforge.net/projects/simplereview/. There will still be info and updates about it here but MamboForge allows to to keep track of things a little easier.

Even with all this hard work I still might offend a few of the blue-noses with my cocky stride and musky odor - oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called 'City Fathers' who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about what's to be done with this row1 yungs1n.

Yours faithfully,
row1 yungs1n
