Emusic download manager on Windows 7

The emusic download manager doesn't work so well on Windows 7. The emusic download manager seems to accept two types of files: emp and emx with the former seeming to be the older format. The emx files open and download fine, but the emp files open the download manager but do not result in anything being downloaded. It also has some permission errors so I installed it outside of Program Files and run it as administrator. Syncing with iTunes doesn't work - although it was working on the Windows 7 beta...

Windows 7 - D-Link DWL-G510

On Windows 7 the D-Link DWL-G510 PCI wireless card comes up as an unknown device under Network adapters in device manager. Possibly you could get drivers from D-Link but ironically they do not perform well, so the best thing to do is get the Vista drivers PCI/mPCI/CB(RT256x/RT266x). Mission complete.

Windows 7 Start Button Size

My biggest gripe about running Windows 7 on a netbook is not the performance but the size of the start button and taskbar on the 1024x600 display. Instead of the usual bottom position, I like to have the taskbar on the side as it is easier to manage multiple open applications/windows. In Windows 7 (and Vista I guess...) the start button and taskbar's width seem to have ballooned, even turning on small icons does not help.

Lenovo S10 RAM Upgrade

The Lenovo S10 comes with 1 GB of RAM - 512 MB soldered on-board and a replaceable 512 MB stick. It is quite an easy upgrade so I decided to chuck in a 2 GB stick. The Atom CPU has an addressable limit of 2 GB and will turn off the on-board RAM when this limit is reached. After putting it in the BIOS shows 2038 MB and Windows XP will confirm this, however other OSs such as Windows 7 will show 2.5 GB even though it will not be able to address this amount.

Street Fighter IV Released

Got my hands on Street Fighter IV today (11th). The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions seem to have been released everywhere in Singapore even though I thought the official worldwide release was February 17th. The price of 84$ SGD is well about the usual 60$ of most releases, but all signs point to it being worth it.
Will test out the online play using Dan and see if it is as good as SF2:HD.

Update: The online play is pretty solid, only had one case of lag and it was still reasonably playable (the character seems to slow down rather than teleport around).
I have not had much luck using the 'join session in progress' option from the friends list, joining always fails (I have NAT open); the current lack of a lobby also hurts as you can't set up a party.
The challenge modes are quite good and teach you lots of combos and such. There is also a nice option for arcade mode where people can "here comes a new challenger" in on you ... although it gets annoying when they interrupt your game and then leave straight away at the "accept challenge" screen, then you are dumped back into your game with the current match progress lost.
Compared to the arcade version the graphics seems slightly different, I can't put my finger on it but the console versions seem a bit cleaner.
